Get ready for a day of smooth sounds, community vibes, and unforgettable moments at the Swan City Jazz Festival — where music meets purpose.

Each year, we bring the heart of jazz to downtown Lakeland, celebrating creativity, culture, and connection. This year’s festival will be bigger, bolder, and filled with the same electric energy that keeps our city swinging.

We’re currently inviting sponsors and community partners to join us in making this year’s experience extraordinary. Your support directly benefits The Blended Family Foundation, helping us provide sneakers, socks, and hygiene essentials to local youth.

Nat Adderley Jr.

Meet Our 2026 Headliner: Nat Adderley Jr.

Jazz royalty is coming to Lakeland.

Nat Adderley Jr. is a pianist, composer, arranger, and musical director whose career spans decades at the highest level of American music. For forty years, he helped craft some of Luther Vandross's greatest hits as his longtime musical director. Now he's bringing that same artistry back to jazz with his trio and debut album, Took So Long.

The son of legendary jazz cornetist Nat Adderley Sr. and nephew of iconic alto saxophonist Cannonball Adderley, Nat Jr. was born into a musical legacy rooted right here in Florida. His father spent years in Lakeland, writing, recording, and serving as artist-in-residence at Florida Southern College. That makes this performance feel like a homecoming.

Nat Jr. started early. His first song was recorded by his uncle Cannonball when he was just 11 years old. A Yale graduate, he's performed on stages from Harlem to Beijing, and his style blends the depth of his jazz heritage with the soul and polish of R&B.

On March 28, he brings all of that to Lake Mirror Amphitheater. And it won't cost you a dime.
